Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick says Governor David Paterson should resign. Paterson is accused of getting involved in a domestic abuse case with one of his top aides. Today, the New York State Ethics committee said that it would begin an investigation about the free Yankee tickets Paterson is accused of taking. Fitzpatrick says Paterson is hurting the people of New York.

"This is a typical political death by 1,000 cuts. Instead of doing the right thing a few weeks ago, he's still not doing anything, to the detriment of the people of New York."
Fitzpatrick says that politicians like Paterson and former governor Eliot Spitzer got a big head.
"They think that they aren't serving the people, but that the people owe them something" He said.

Fitzpatrick, a Republican, says the string of corruption among Democratic Governors New York makes earlier time periods look much more appealing.
"It makes you wish for the days of the Pataki era."
